CNC Punching

Computer designed and controlled tools are utilised to punch holes, or any design, to your exact specifications. CNC punching is generally used for sheet metal of 0.5mm – 3mm. It is a high speed, efficient and cost-effective method to deliver accurate results.

Sheet Metal Folding

We utilise the latest press brake machines with seven axis and up to 170 tonne forming capabilities to fold various sheet metals, up to three metres in length, into whatever shape is required; to your drawing specifications.

Laser Cutting

We utilise the latest capability in fibre laser cutting that delivers consistent cuts with an impeccable finish. This high speed, accurate and cleaner method of cutting produces results that require less power to give you a really cost-effective solution. The speed at which the fibre cuts and the gases used irradicates heat distortion. There are no limitations to the complexity of profiles that can be cut using laser cutting.

Powder Coating

Our electrostatic application of powder-coating paint finish is available in the full range of RAL and BS colours. Our automated powder coat paint line includes a phosphate pre-treatment plant, state of the art Gema reciprocators, 45m overhead conveyor system and high-temperature oven. The automated powder application system can coat complex multidimensional shapes maintaining even coverage and superior results.

From an environmental perspective, powder coating is a low-cost solvent-free method to achieve a durable attractive finish that is resistant to scratches and chemical corrosion.

Welding (TIG & MIG), Polishing and Finishing

We provide TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding that uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode to produce the weld and fuse two metals together. MIG (metal inert gas) welding uses a feed wire that constantly moves through the welding gun to create the spark that melts the wire to form the weld. Whichever process is most appropriate depends on the strength of bond required, the thickness and type of metal to be fused. MIG welding often welds thicker metal objects faster than a TIG weld.

Where polishing and finishing is required, we utilise sisal, spiral sewn and loose buffing techniques working with black, white, blue, green and red compounds as required; according to the metal and finish.

Plastic Vacuum Forming

From low to high volume production, vacuum forming is a flexible and adaptable process for shaping plastic.

When heated, plastic sheet becomes malleable and can be vacuum formed into numerous shapes. When cooled it is ready for five axis machining to finish to your requirements.

Our plastic vacuum forming experience includes the manufacture products such as machinery covers, enclosures, commercial & industrial light fittings, medical equipment and drips and spillages trays.

Tooling Design and Manufacture

By integrating SolidWorks 3D CAD tool design software with our five axis CNC router means we can maintain control over quality, costs and lead times when producing prototypes and production tooling.

We manufacture in a range of materials according to the needs of the application and structural properties including, ABS, HIPS, HDPE & polycarbonate and materials such as chemical-resistant, flame-retardant, antibacterial, UV stable and high-strength plastics.

Where necessary we use RoHS-compliant virgin materials and produce products in a comprehensive range of RAL and BS colours.

Method and Quality Assurance

All of our production methods comply to ISO 9001 standards and, where required, we produce and supply to customers’ Just in Time (JIT) and KANBAN processes.
