Hellenic Systems – Stainless Steel Products for the Food Industry

Hellenic Systems was founded in 1988 to provide leading edge factory management systems for the food and manufacturing sectors. The company serves in excess of 130 food companies across the UK and Europe.

Hellenic Systems provides specialist computer systems that range from their proprietary standard package for a small food manufacturer to bespoke applications specifically designed for complex processes.

Director, Peter Carter says “We have always adopted a flexible approach to system solutions. Although most systems are built from standard modules, we pride ourselves on providing exact fits for customer applications.”

“We never forget that at the heart of any successful enterprise is reliability, performance and adaptability.”

“I value the products supplied by Daro very highly; we can trust we know what we’re going to get.”

Toby Neighbour, production supervisor adds “When we engage with suppliers, that make up the supply chain of delivering to our customers, it’s important that those we work with share our values.  That’s why the relationship we have with the team at Daro has been established for a decade and we hope will carry on for many more to come.”

The harsh environments in the food sector means Hellenic systems has to use stainless steel casings; not only to combat the damp and often wet conditions but also to withstand the abrasive chemicals that are used in the on-site cleaning processes.  From supplying a custom flat door plate to designing and producing a door to match existing hardware, the process of design and multiple modifications was made effortless with the Daro team regularly keeping Toby and his team updated.  Now on its eighth revision Hellenic systems continues to be very happy and reports the attentive service they received on day one of working together has prevailed ever since.

Head of sales Stuart Clarke adds “Having decades of experience in the design and development of prototypes and subsequence fabrication & product assembly we’re delighted to be trusted by Hellenic and other customers, which is why so many work with us for many years.”

In 2020, Daro Group invested in its production facility in Sudbury, Suffolk to include a purpose-built assembly facility.   The building provides a controlled environment ideally suited to electrical and fibre assembly services for existing and prospective customers.  The facility is a self-contained air conditioned and partially air-pressured assembly unit that not only provides an improved working environment but offers energy savings too.

Mervyn Douglas, Group managing director comments “This is just one investment initiative that we’re making across Daro Group.  We’re delighted with our customers’ reactions and interest in how we’re developing Daro Group.”

“We never forget that at the heart of any successful enterprise is reliability, performance and adaptability.”

Neighbour concludes “I value the products supplied by Daro very highly; we can trust we know what we’re going to get.  We all appreciate the support of the team at Daro and their commitment to understanding our requirements.  Stuart Clarke is by far one of the best supplier representatives I have dealt with.  I highly recommend Daro to anyone seeking design or manufacture services.”
