Timberwolf - Lead the pack

Timberwolf – Problem-Solving and Product Development

Daro Manufacturing Services is proud to have been working with Timberwolf since 2005. In that time the East Anglian based British manufacturing services company has gone from supplying Timberwolf with plastic vacuum form side panels to developing a close partnership that has come from taking a broad approach to maintaining on-time delivery and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.

The company specialises in delivering solutions to problems from specification to prototyping through to production and delivery working to BS EN ISO 15614/1 standards accredited to BS9606/1.  The team at Daro has worked closely with Timberwolf’s designers and pre-production engineers in assisting in the development of the new TW 280TDHB wood chipper.

Stuart Clarke, Head of sales at Daro says “we have a problem-solving culture at Daro.  We set very high standards, from the office through to production considering all projects from our customers’ perspective and set out to meet their needs every single time.”

“With many decades of experience, it’s very rewarding when we develop symbiotic partnerships with customers where we’re able to add value to the overall cosmetic finish and make recommendations regarding materials and manufacturing processes that will benefit our customer; even if that’s smoothing the entire build process to reduce the overall cost of manufacture that doesn’t directly affect us; we’re here to help.”

“The length of time that customers show loyalty to us is testimony of the proactive, consultative and honest approach of the team here”.

Being part of Daro Group, the company benefits from the wider support and the Group’s central resources including investment in systems, equipment and machinery to provide each member of the Daro team with the necessary tools that support flexibility; enabling them to adapt their production processes to mirror their customers’ ever-changing schedules.

Going the extra mile is second nature for the team at Daro.  Demonstrated by an occasion when a looming delivery failure was averted by stepping in at the eleventh hour.  Over the course of a weekend, and utilising the latest 3D print technology, Daro produced an extra part for each product on a large consignment – despite having to keep the printer topped up every two hours, over a 48-hour period.  Getting the products to the end client was of critical importance.  The Daro team rose to the challenge and the customer received the products completely unaware of the extra effort needed to get them there on time.

“we have a problem-solving culture at Daro. We set very high standards, from the office through to production considering all projects from our customers’ perspective and set out to meet their needs every single time.”

Group Managing Director, Mervyn Douglas adds “The length of time that customers show loyalty to us is testimony of the proactive, consultative and honest approach of the team here.  The ‘can do’ attitude also means the team can provide agility that keeps the entire supply chain intact.  Something that we believe will become more important for customers as we negotiate future trading terms with the EU.”

Accredited with BS EN ISO 9001 Daro is able to offer a full service offering of design, prototyping, sheet metal fabrication, powder coating, product assembly, testing, packing and distribution in virtually all sectors. Its network of trusted partners benefits customers by removing the time needed to manage multiple suppliers.

“Daro has supported Timberwolf since the early 2000’s and grown to become a key strategic supplier of metal fabrications and plastic components. Over this time, Daro’s support, enthusiasm and expertise, in both production supply and new product development has cemented their position as a strong partner and will no doubt ensure a mutually beneficial relationship for many years.”
